Its Been a long time..sorry

I havent post in a while, but i have some new pics of some lovely deesrts I can show you..i have made cakses, and cupcakes..check it out..ad on the cake i didnt spell "birthday" right..LOL i spelled it "birthay" glad it was just for practice!!

besides that..i have a cake comming up that i need to research on..a customer wants a cake with army fatigue design on it..that should be fun! there are a few videos i can watch so i can see some techniques..anyways check out my pics..and comment..please!

I made this..

German Chocolate cake..It was GREAT!.. It was my first time baking it and it was a little bit difficult with the steps for the coconut peacan frosting. But I am glad I made it. All from Scratch, i dont even look at a cake box mix anymore. when you start baking from scratch, there really isnt a need to grab a ready made mix. You can do all of that yourself, and to me it taste much better!The cake was the same chocolate cake recipe I use all the. it is super moist and taste great.

My pipping skills could have been a little better but overall it came out good.

HAppy Mother's Day..

I havent posted in a few days but I am gonna make a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting tonight and I will have pics to show cause i am gonna use some of the techniques i learned for pipping buttercream roses on a cake!

Im sooo tired

Hey you guys..

I am sooo tired, I had my niece today and with my kids together..seems like I had 15 kids instead of three. well I still managed to make some cupcakes for my sister. I made some wonderful carrot cake cupcakes with yummy cream cheese frosting.

i got the recipe from the internet..it was sooo easy and they taste GREAT! Now i need some orders for them!

what should I make today??

Hey you guys what should i make today..i dont have any orders today but i like to practice to get my cake decorating skills up..so im thinking..what should i make..maybe a chcolate cake..maybe chcolate cupcakes..and pracitce my buttercream roses! ok whatever i decide to make i will post for you guys and show you from beginning to end...

is anyone there? .:)


Ok it is 11pm and i decided not to bake but i watched a bunch of baking videos..decorating videos and videos about Buttercream..so i decided to practice some designs..i need work but it ok i just have to keep practicing I had a few good roses but i threw them out before i took a pic of it..
so when i practice i usually practice on a huge piece of construction paper or my flower nail, but that just for my roses..

ok well this is it for today..see ya tomorrow..and let me know what you think of it...anyone?!
**and i might have a cake order for saturday, she wants a spa theme, i proposed a beachy cake..i will let you know what happens with that!!

My first Post..OMG Cinnamon rolls and Whoopi Pies

Ok so this is my first post on my new blog..i have to admit im a little excited! My sister told me i should start one..so i took her advice and I did...

Well, first i have to tell everyone how much I love baking..hence the name Bakingly Obssessed!

I started to read cook books all the time, but then it turned into just baking books.I brought a few essential tools for baking, and that is that. I just cannot get enough of it. I thought to myself that I could try to start a business, and I did. Jenny's Delicious Deliveries. I started to make cakes for people in my area. Well, so far I have had 2 orders, but they really liked my cakes so I know they will be comming back. And one of them even said she will tell her friends. so I guess that is just how most people start off. Word of mouth. So being the person that I am, which is a person who wants what I want NOW. I decided I would make some Whoopi Pies, and some Cinnamon Rolls. Yes, everything from scratch. I had to make them, I saw them in one of my baking books and I just had to do it. So I did. If you are a fellow baker, or just starting out, may i suggest you try the cinnamon rolls.. they are easy and taste great. But I have to give credit where it is due. Paula Deen's recipe was just great. I love her, one of my Baking Icons..Her and Ina Garten, but she is just the entertaining Queen to me!!

ok ok back to what i was talking about..Homemade Whoopi Pies and Cinnamon Rolls..YUM. So I made the Whoopi Pies early this morning, then i made the Cinnamon rolls late about 10pm...what can I say, its the only time when I can really concentrate without the kids around!
